General Information

Where are you located?

Who can rent the studio?

Individuals, dance companies, photographers, videographers, and corporate teams.

Do you host regular classes or only rentals?

We only offer studio rentals, no regular classes.

Do you have any partnerships or collaborators?

Yes. Please email us with your request.

Do you have multiple studio rooms?

Yes, we have 3 beautiful studio spaces available.

Is your studio wheelchair accessible?

Yes.

Do you offer studio tours before booking?

Yes, please email us to arrange a viewing.

Reservations & Cancellations

How do I book the studio?

Book directly through our website or email us at disstorsion.montreal@gmail.com.

What is your cancellation policy for group fitness and artistic activity?

• More than 48 hours before: 100% refund or credit.
• 24-48 hours before: 50% credit, no refund.
• Less than 24 hours: No refund or credit.

What is your cancellation policy for private and corporate events?

A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total rental amount is required to secure the booking. If you cancel at least 7 days before the event date, you will receive a refund of the remaining 80%, minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event are non-refundable.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes. Cancel up to 48 hours in advance through the website. After that, contact us by
email.

Is a deposit required to reserve the space?

Yes, for special events (20%) and long-term/session rentals (15%) which is non refundable once a contract is signed.

Studio Use & Policies

What’s included in my booking?

Speakers, mirrors, AC/heating system, and basic lighting.

What are the studio rules?

• Arrive/leave within your reserved time. Additional time will be charged if the studio is not vacated within 15 minutes after the rental end time.
• No food in studios (except private/corporate events).
• Leave the studio clean.
• No flamenco shoes, tap shoes, or stilettos (protect flooring).
• No messy/scented products (oil, confetti, powder). Contact us if unsure.
• Damage, theft, or vandalism will be charged.
• Respect other renters: no noise, no hallway gatherings, no window opening, no radiator
adjustments.
• Lock the studio when leaving.

Do you allow animals/pets in the studio?

No, unless pre-authorized.

Can I use the space for events, shoots, or rehearsals?

Yes, the studio is suitable for rehearsals, photoshoots, and private events.

Can I bring food and drinks?

Yes, for private parties and corporate events only.

Is smoking or vaping allowed?

No.

Access & Security

How do I access the studio?

A code will be provided once payment is confirmed.

Are there security cameras?

Yes, for your safety and security.

What should I do if I damage something?

Contact us immediately.

Is someone on-site during my rental?

No, the studio is self-access.

What happens if I lose something?

We are not responsible. Found items are placed at Studio 126 reception.

Equipment & Amenities

Do you provide audio/visual equipment?

Each studio includes speaker(s). Additional gear: see our equipment page.

Are changing rooms or showers available?

No.

Do you have air conditioning/heating?

Yes, climate control is provided year-round in studios 124 and 126.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, free Wi-Fi is provided.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes, street parking and paid underground parking are available.

Cleaning Fee
• 70 $
• 150$ (if food and/or alcohol is served)


Security / Doorman Fee:
Starting at $25/hour for a minimum of 5 hours

Why is there a higher cleaning fee for events with food or alcohol?

Events that involve food or alcohol typically require more thorough cleaning. The $150 cleaning fee ensures the studio is properly maintained and ready for the next renter.

When is a security guard required for my event?

If your event is scheduled after 9 p.m. on Fridays or after 6 p.m. on weekends, a security guard is mandatory. Any event with over 25 people requires the presence of 2 security guards and any event with over 60 people requires 3 security guards.
This is a requirement from the Belgo building administration to ensure safe and controlled access. A member of our staff will also be on-site to assist with access, as they hold the keys to the space.
